STRENGTHENING OUR ROTARY SCREW AIR COMPRESSOR PRODUCT
MORE AIR PER CFM
A rotary screw compressor is a positive displacement device. Like a reciprocating compressor, the air pressure is increased due to a reduction in volume, following the real air laws. However, the process by which the volume is reduced in a rotary screw compressor is significantly different than the volume reduction process in a reciprocating compressor.
A rotary screw compressor has almost no clearance between the rotors and the housing, so there is no clearance expansion at the end of the discharge event, thereby ensuring higher efficiency and better discharge flow of air.
LOW NOISE LEVELS
Noise pollution is now a major concern in most of the industry.
Equipment manufacturers have been working to reduce sound levels in all their equipment.
Reciprocating compressors have noise levels in the range of about 80 dB to 95 dB
VYAAN Rotary Screw compressors by virtue of lower vibration, and no reciprocating mass operate at very low sound levels. Sound levels ranging between 65 dB to 82 dB
All our rotary screw compressors are packaged in acoustic and weather proof enclosures.
NON PULSATING AIR
Unlike reciprocating compressors in which the air is compressed in strokes, Rotary Screw air compressors compress air in rotary motion of helical rotors having minimal tolerance between themselves and the housing.
This ensures non-pulsating flow of air. This is preferred for any end application.
VYAAN Rotary Screw compressors are also able to operate in smaller pressure bands when compared to its Reciprocating counterparts.
MINIMAL VIBRATIONS
Reciprocating compressors have a huge reciprocating mass, which create vibrations.
These vibrations need to be isolated, which adds to cost.
Vibrations create a sense of in-security in the people working round the vibration source.
Screw compressors have dynamically balanced rotors rotating in opposite directions and hence vibration levels are very low.
VYAAN Rotary Screw compressors do not require any special foundation and are supplied in "Ready to Commission" condition.
LOW OIL CARRYOVER
One of the major contaminant in compressed air is the oil. This is a major concern for most of the modern industry. Reciprocating, Lubricated air compressors carry a good amount of oil in the compression chamber.
Compressed air carries this oil in to the discharge.
Generally oil carry over in a reciprocating compressor is between 15 to 25 PPM.
All VYAAN Rotary Screw compressors have an oil separator tank and the filter element. Oil carry over in our small range screw compressors is about 2-3 PPM.
LOW OPERATING COSTS
Generally there is a capacity drop in a reciprocating compressor due to constant wear and tear and thumb rule is that there is a 2% drop in every 1000hr of running.
This is the one of the reason why VYAAN recommends that you choose a higher capacity when it comes to reciprocating compressor for long run sustainability.
In screw compressor since there is no metallic contact, hence no wear and tear and no drop in capacity.
VYAAN strongly recommends that consumables be replaced at periodic intervals. to ensure the compressor life.
